Problem:
You are East and you partner has just opened with weak 2 ◆, moreover, North has passed. What are you going to bid? Hint: You could of course support your partner`s diamonds, as you have three diamonds, but with 12 HCP, six hearts and a singleton spade, you want to bid hearts. Besides, if the opponents win the contract, you would like your partner to lead hearts. But how many hearts should you bid? Everyone is vulnerable. This hand was played in real life during the World Mind Games 2011 in Bejing in the Men Individual Series last week. At one of the tables, East got the contract. So it is an important decision.
